- This medicine is a germicidal medicine for use in the vagina (gynecological antiseptic).

- It is used to treat bacterial inflammation of the vagina.

dosage ALBOTHYL vaginal suppositories, infected vagina, yeast infection vagina treatment
- Always use this medicine exactly as described or as your doctor or pharmacist has told you. Please check with your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.

- Unless otherwise prescribed by the doctor, the usual dose is 1 vaginal suppository (equivalent to 90 mg Policresulen) daily.

duration of use
- It should be used until the symptoms of the disease have subsided. However, the duration of use should not exceed 9 days. Talk to your doctor if symptoms have not gone away after 9 days of treatment.

- It is not known how many women have bacterial vaginal infections (recurrence) after stopping treatment.

- Please talk to your doctor or pharmacist if you have the impression that the effect is too strong or too weak.

If you use more than you should
- There are no known signs (symptoms) of overdose.

- Insert the pessary deep into the vagina, preferably lying on your back. In order to prevent premature expulsion of the vaginal pessary, it should be used in the evening before going to bed. To make insertion easier, the vaginal pessary can be briefly dipped in water before use.

- Using a pad (napkin) avoids soiling the laundry.
