- The drug contains magaldrate and belongs to the group of drugs called antacids, which are used to neutralize excess stomach acid.

- for the symptomatic treatment of gastric and duodenal ulcers

How many tablets should I take each day?
-
Adults and children over 12 years:
- the normal dose is 1-2 chewable tablets several times a day as needed
-
- do not take more than 8 chewable tablets (6400 mg magaldrate) per day
-

How long should I take the medicine?
- The medicine should only be used for the short-term treatment of your symptoms.
-
- If the symptoms persist for more than 2 weeks during treatment, a doctor should be consulted.

Persistent and or recurring symptoms could be an indication of a serious illness. Tell your doctor right away if you get any of the following symptoms:
- You have blood in your stool. This can look black and tarry.
-
- You vomit blood or dark particles that look like coffee grounds.

If you take more than you should
- If you have taken too many tablets, you should seek advice from your doctor. Overdosing can lead to changes in stool behavior such as softening of the stool and an increase in the frequency of stool.

If you forget to take a dose
- If you forget to take a dose, simply take your normal dose at the next time you take it.

- Do not take a double dose to make up for a forgotten dose.

If you stop taking it
- If, because of side effects, you interrupt treatment with the drug on your own initiative or end it prematurely, you should speak to your doctor.

- In the case of kidney failure or long-term use of high doses, the use of the drug can cause an increased aluminum and magnesium content in the blood. Aluminum can be stored in the nerve and bone tissue, in particular, and phosphate can be depleted.
